Planning new adventures for 2023?

Image
Is anyone you know planning on travelling this year? Two new stamp sets ‘Watercolour World’ and ‘Greatest Journey’ will help you create perfect cards for them.  For my base I used night of navy card stock (6x4 inches when folded in half), layered with white card cut a whisper shorter on either side. I used two different ink colours randomly dabbed onto the watercolour world stamp for the map. You can pick as many ink colours as you wish for this part or even just stick to one.  The sentiment comes room the greatest journey stamp set and is inked in basic black. Old olive ink is used for the trees, also from the same stamp set.  For the mountains and figure I used the dies from the greatest journey. Lastly in the top right corner I added an enamel sticker icon. Enjoy The Journey suite  On page 58 of the new mini catalogue. The full suite includes stamp set and dies, 12x12 designer series papers, three twine combo pack and enamel sticker icons.  Items can b...

Happier than happy.

How gorgeous has the weather been in England recently? I’ve recently returned from a week away in Lincolnshire. I’d taken a small bag of craft items with me incase we got rain but it was so warm and sunny I didn’t craft once.  Today I am showcasing the totally gorgeous Happier Than Happy stamp set with the coordinating Happy Forest dies and Happy Forest Friends designer series papers. I really love the papers in this suite, great for new baby, child birthday cards but also the reverse side patterns suitable for all occasions.  The papers are 12” x 12”,double sided. The stamp set with its cute forest friends and the matching dies are perfect so no fussy cutting required. All items are available individually so if you didn’t want everything you can pick and choose to suit your budget / needs. Have you got this set already? I’d love to see your makes and ideas.  If you’d like to order any Stampin’ Up! Products please use the link on my homepage, top left where you can...

Last of the card kits I have to show you today. Only a few days left to grab them in the ‘buy one, get one 50% off’ deal.  I think this is my favourite of the ones I’ve shown over the past few days. The colour combinations remind me of the beach deck chairs with the blue and red stripes. Like the other kits it comes with everything you need and don’t forget once you have finished the projects included you still have the ink spot and stamp set to keep.  Any questions please drop me an email rachhome@msn.com Rachael x

Card kits buy one get one 50% off.

Brilliant offer throughout June. Card kits are buy one get one 50% off.  The one I’m sharing today is called ‘No matter the weather’. Very appropriate here today as we’ve gone from blue skies and sunshine to wind and rain, back to blue skies again. At least the garden won’t need watering this evening.  Don’t miss out on these fantastic offers, June will be gone before we know it! Browse the kits available by using the tabs top left to shop 24/7.  Happy crafting Rachael x

Be Christmas ready early.

Image
I know the sun is shining, that it’s one of the hottest days of the year in the U.K but you can never be too organised for Christmas.  I love Christmas and the whole decorating of the house, frosty mornings and cosy nights in front of the fire. Making cards for Christmas is also my favourite kind of crafting.  It brings back childhood memories of the excitement during the festive season. This cute ‘Love, Santa Tag Kit’ is super easy to put together. Everything you need comes in the box with full instructions. This would make a great project to do with the children or with a family member who has never tried crafting before.  If you purchase any of the Stampin’ up! Kits during June don’t forget the offer of ‘buy one, get one 50% off’. Maybe purchase a few different kits and invite some friends round for a coffee and craft session.  Rachael x

I’m really not a gardener…

Image
It’s really hotting up outside today. The last of the clouds are clearing and from across the fields I can see blue sky is heading in my direction. I’m really not a gardener, I enjoy cutting the grass. Marching up and down with the mower and my headphones on I find quite therapeutic but when it comes to weeding  etc I find that tiresome. I do however love the gorgeous flowers that grow, the bright colours that make you feel summery and being able to cut flowers to bring into the house. Our rose seems to be climbing its way to heaven this year, I think a good pruning will be needed once it has finished flowering but the rose heads are huge, just unfortunately too high for us to reach and cut. I did pick these beautiful peonies instead, one of my favourite flowers. I find myself looking at the petals and thinking ‘that would make a great ink colour’  I’d love to see photos of your garden or favourite flowers, it might give some inspiration for new colour combinations in o...

Christmas crafting - using up retired papers.

Image
I am the first to admit i have an issue hoarding crafting products, especially papers! When they come packaged and look so pretty it's hard to chop them up to use. I always end up with retired papers left over each time a new catalogue is released and they end up sitting in my paper store unused. So with this in mind i decided to start using some of them up and made a start on some Christmas cards. Santa's workshop was such a fun set of papers, especially if making cards for younger members of the family.  I used a larger piece of dsp for the background but then also cut another strip with elves on to use as the main focus of the card. Mounted onto real red card and then some glimmer paper to cut the word 'Christmas' from adds a little bit of festive bling and sparkle. At least if i use up my old stash i have the perfect excuse to buy more of the new products :) If you would like to buy any current products please pop over to my online shop HERE...

Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin Up

Image
I knew when i saw this stamp set and papers that it was going to be one of the first things i ordered from the annual catalogue.  I love how Stampin' up match everything so perfectly.  Firstly i stamped the large flower in 'Early Espresso' ink, i then used our fabulous 'Stampin' Blends' in the dark and light shade of 'So Saffron' to colour in the petals and my aqua painter pen and ink 'Mossy Meadow' for the leaves. I love how this gives the leaves an aged look.  A square of 5x5 'Crumb cake' cardstock was randomly stamped on in 'Early Espresso' ink to create the background. I stamped once with full ink and then again without inking back up so i could get sharper and softer tones. A small strip of dsp wrapped with some ribbon from the 'Magnolia Lane ribbon combo pack' is placed along the bottom of the card to add some interest and texture. The large flower was placed onto the card using dimenionals ...

Back after a break away.

Hello all, sorry i haven't posted on here for a while I've been busy with other things and then have just come back from a lovely holiday in France. The weather was gorgeous and sunny, we spent the days fishing, laying in the sun, visiting amazing chateaus and sampling the delicious food! We are already looking at when we can go back again.  So back to crafting....i have a few projects lined up ready to show you over the next few days. If you can't wait and want to take a look now hop over to my facebook page Caramel & Cream HERE   You can also see some of the photos i took whilst away in France! My facebook page is usually the first place projects or new products get posted so it's worth giving it a 'like' so you can see everything before it's published on here.  If there are stamp sets you would like to see used in a card please let me know and if i have the set i will try and design something to show.
