As demonstrators we like to show you how you can use all the different products Stampin Up has to offer. We also know that not everyone has the pennies to buy everything at once so i wanted to show you how you can create a beautiful card with just a stamp set and inks. No need for framelits, big shot or punches.
'Peaceful Noel' is a really gorgeous stamp set.
I chose 3 inks for this card - 'Sahara Sand', 'Tranquil Tide' and 'Merry Merlot'
A piece of 'Whisper White' card cut to 4.5 x 4.5 inches i then stamped into the centre a 'Sahara Sand' area onto which i then stamped the sentiment in 'Tranquil Tide'
Next taking various foliage stamps from the set i roughly stamped them into a circle around the sentiment centre swapping between 'Tranquil Tide' and 'Merry Merlot' inks.
Stamping off onto scrap paper sometimes before adding to the 'Whisper White' to give lighter shades of the same colour adds tone.
This when finished was mounted onto some 'Tranquil Tide' cardstock cut a little larger than the 'Whisper White' to give a nice border around.
Below is the same design idea but slightly more traditional colours. The inks used for this one are 'Emerald Envy', 'Sahara Sand' and 'Real Red'.
I'd love to hear which colour way you prefer, please drop me a comment below.
Come back Tuesday to see another similar design but this time showing how you can scale up the look but using punches and the big shot.

I am the first to admit i have an issue hoarding crafting products, especially papers! When they come packaged and look so pretty it's hard to chop them up to use. I always end up with retired papers left over each time a new catalogue is released and they end up sitting in my paper store unused. So with this in mind i decided to start using some of them up and made a start on some Christmas cards. Santa's workshop was such a fun set of papers, especially if making cards for younger members of the family. I used a larger piece of dsp for the background but then also cut another strip with elves on to use as the main focus of the card. Mounted onto real red card and then some glimmer paper to cut the word 'Christmas' from adds a little bit of festive bling and sparkle. At least if i use up my old stash i have the perfect excuse to buy more of the new products :) If you would like to buy any current products please pop over to my online shop HERE
