Slide Back Saturday with 'Fresh Fruit' stamp set - Stampin Up

It's handy to have a little stock of cards made that can be used as thank you or note cards. 
I often think 'i'll send a little card to someone' but then don't have one made and by the time i get round to making one the moment has passed to send it. 

I used the 'Fruit Stand' dsp and 'Fresh Fruit' stamp set. 
Taking a card blank measuring 4x4 inches i covered it in a piece of the dsp. Then on a piece of 'Whisper White' measuring 3x3 inches i stamped a pear from the stamp set in 'Pear Pizzazz' (of course) ink. The stem and leaves i used 'Old Olive' ink. On a piece of scrap i made another pear the exact same but cut this out to adhere using dimensionals to give some depth.


I've not added a sentiment so that they can suit a variety of needs.

Card front builder thinlits - Stampin Up

When i first saw the 'Card Front Builder' thinlits die i must admit it didn't grab me straight away. I think i thought it looked like too much faff so i decided not to order it. Then i made that deadly mistake that most of us crafters do...i went on Pinterest!! Needless to say after spending half an hour (okay maybe 2 hours) browsing the cards made by some of my fellow demonstrators i was convinced i needed it too.  The design i have used was inspired by another Pinterest user 'Stamping Up North', I really liked the way they used the cut out trees to layer back onto the card so decided to make my own version. The background paper is from the 'Be Merry' designer series paper. Blog Hop with the Simply Stylish Stampers!

Thank you for hopping over to my blog.  This is my first time joining in with a 'Blog Hop' and i'm delighted to be doing it with the other ladies from the 'Simply Stylish Stampers'. After being given a card making kit as a gift a few years back i found i really enjoyed creating projects. Later on i discovered Stampin Up and my love for papercraft has grown into what you might say is an obsession! My card today uses the fabulous NEW stamp set 'Wise Men From Afar' which is coming soon in the Autumn / Winter brochure. 'Star Of Light' and the coordinating thinlits dies also feature.  Taking a sheet of 'Night of Navy' cardstock i trimmed it down to 11 1/2 x 5 3/4. Then scored in half along the long side.
