The other day i showed you how to create some of the cards in the 'Perennial Birthday Project Kit', if you purchased the stamp set that coordinates i wanted to show you that you can create your own cards and that it isn't just something to be used with the kit.
I've chosen 3 ink colours, 'Wysteria Wonder', 'So Saffron' and 'Pear Pizzaz'. The splodge background is created using the sale-a-bration stamp set 'Eclectic Expressions'. Taking each of the ink colours in turn i inked up the stamp then stamped off onto some scrap paper first before applying to my 'Whisper White card to give a softer look.
Next taking flowers and leaves from the 'Perennial Birthday' stamp set i placed them in the bottom left corner using a punched out piece of card with the 'Tailored Tag' as a guide.
Stamping the sentiment and a couple of flowers around the edge of the punched out shape ready to layer over.
A length of ribbon is wrapped around the 'Whisper White' base before being attached to some 'Wysteria Wonder' cardstock to secure everything in place. A couple of 'Basic Pearl Jewels' are added to the tag before mounting it all onto the card base.
You could easily change the sentiment to make this into a thank you or get well card too.

I am the first to admit i have an issue hoarding crafting products, especially papers! When they come packaged and look so pretty it's hard to chop them up to use. I always end up with retired papers left over each time a new catalogue is released and they end up sitting in my paper store unused. So with this in mind i decided to start using some of them up and made a start on some Christmas cards. Santa's workshop was such a fun set of papers, especially if making cards for younger members of the family. I used a larger piece of dsp for the background but then also cut another strip with elves on to use as the main focus of the card. Mounted onto real red card and then some glimmer paper to cut the word 'Christmas' from adds a little bit of festive bling and sparkle. At least if i use up my old stash i have the perfect excuse to buy more of the new products :) If you would like to buy any current products please pop over to my online shop HERE
