Sorry for your loss - Slide Back Saturday - Stampin Up

Image
The reason i started 'Slide Back Saturday' is to show that you can still create lovely projects even if you don't have all the latest products from Stampin Up. Mixing old and new is a great way to make sure you get the most from what you have. 'Blooms and Wishes' is a really pretty stamp set and i've combined it here with the 'Sorry For Everything' stamp set.  Using some 'Affectionately Yours' dsp i picked out some of the colours to stamp my flowers. 'Cucumber Crush', 'Watermelon Wonder' and 'Night Of Navy' for the sentiment.  I hope this card inspires you to go rummage through your craft room and use something you may have forgotten about. Epic Celebrations - Stampin Up

Image
As you know sale-a-bration is still going, earning FREE goodies is always a bonus. Super simple card using the sneaker / trainer shoe from the stamp set 'Epic Celebration' Randomly stamping the shoe in 'Bermuda Bay' ink it was then mounted onto a card blank with matching dsp. The sentiment in 'Basic Black' is all that's left to add. Great for teenagers, girls or boys! If you would like to order any Stampin Up products you can do so in my online shop HERE Rachael x

Slide Back Saturday with a Pop of Pink, Stampin Up

Image
As you may know from some of my other recent projects the 'Pop of Pink' designer series papers (DSP) has been some of my favourite that Stampin Up have ever done. I've actually had to really force myself to use it and stop hoarding it all. I so wish Stampin Up would bring it back again.  These simple but eye catching Thank You cards show off the dsp perfectly.  I have used the matching stamp set 'Pop of Paradise' and kept the ink colours to 'Basic Black' and 'Melon Mambo'.  Sent as a thank you card on their own or put together into a set as a gift for someone i think anyone would be happy to receive these cards.  Even though the papers are no longer available you can still purchase the stamp set...perhaps mix the colours up to match some designer papers you already have.  If you would like to order any Stampin Up products please visit my online shop HERE Rachael x

Magical Mermaid - Stampin Up

Image
What little girl doesn't believe in magical things like mermaids? The 'Magical Mermaids' stamp set is lovely for making girly cards. Taking 'Sahara Sand' ink to stamp the shells along the bottom i then used 'Soft Sky' to create some gentle bubbles / splodges.  A mix of 'Pear Pizzaz' and 'Old Olive' inks give a more realistic effect to the seaweed. Stampin the mermaid in 'Basic Black' i then coloured her in using an aqua painter. 'Blushing Bride' for her skin, 'Soft Suede' for her hair.  Her tail was splodged with 'Tranquil Tide and 'Fresh Fig' allowing the colours to run into each other. Once dry i carefully cut her out and popped up on some dimensionals so she stands out from the background. The sentiment added in the top corner is the finishing touch. Weather Together - Love. Stampin up

Image
Happy Valentines Day everyone. I hope you all received lovely cards.  I have used the 'Weather Together' stamp set to create this sweet card.  The umbrella is stamped in 'Dapper Denim' ink before being cut out using the matching framelits. Popped up on some dimensionals to help it stand out. the handle of the umbrella has been coloured in using an aqua pen.  The scattering of hearts are stamped in 'Flirty Flamingo'  Lastly the word 'love' also from the same stamp is added along the bottom.  If you would like to order any Stampin Up products please do so HERE Rachael x

Moon Baby for new baby with Stampin Up

Image
On this day last week we had a new addition to our family as my new baby nephew was born. He wasn't too keen on arriving but eventually made his way into the world.  I made this cute card using the eclipse technique so that his name could be within the design. 'Moon Baby' is such a lovely stamp set for baby cards. The moon with baby sleeping soundly looks so peaceful. I took a sheet of dsp from the 'A little foxy' papers, i picked the grey hearts as i know his nursery has grey in it also.  Stamping the moon and baby i used some watercolour pencils to colour them in. Stars in 'Crushed Curry' were randomly stamped before laying out the large letter framelits to spell out Alfie. Once run through the big shot the letters are carefully popped back into place on dimensionals to add height.  A border or 'Basic Grey' was added to lift the design from the background paper. A sprinkle of gold metallic enamel stars add the finishing touch.

Zoo Babies - lion cub Stampin Up

Image
Yesterday i showed you a card i made using 'Zoo Babies' from Stampin Up. Here is another very similar version, this time using the cute lion cub.  The DSP is from 'A Little Foxy' and i've chosen 'Pumkin Pie' and 'Smoky Slate' as the colours.  You could change the sentiment banner to a number and they would make cute birthday cards for a young child.  If you would like to order any Stampin Up products please do so HERE Rachael x

Slide back Saturday - zoo babies from Stampin Up

Image
You might have seen yesterday i showed a sneak peak of the designer series paper i have used on this project. It really does make your eyes go funny when it's on it's own but combined with other bits and pieces its a lovely background. I've used the 'Zoo Babies' stamp set and of course the zebra from it to coordinate with the black and white. The dsp is from the retired 'Pop of Pink', still some of my favourite papers that Stampin Up have brought out.  Randomly stamping the zebras in 'Basic Black' i then used a flash of 'Pumkin Pie' to brighten up the card. The 'Triple Banner' and 'Classic Label' punches create the layered sentiment.  I think this is a really nice change from the traditional pinks and blues we see for new baby cards.  If you would like to order any Stampin Up products i would love you to shop with me HERE Rachael x

Sneak Peek for Slide Back Saturday

So tomorrow i am using some of this DSP on my slide Back Saturday project.  Does it make your eyes go all funny looking at it? Can anyone guess which suite the paper is from? Rachael x

sale-a-bration with Stampin Up

Image
Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to get yourself some freebies. These are items that can't be bought but earned when you spend £45 or more.  I've created this simple card using one of the free stamp sets 'Epic celebrations'. In 'Bermuda Bay' ink i randomly stamped the guitar image over a piece of 'whisper White', this was then layered onto some retired dsp in matching 'Bermuda Bay' stripes.  The sentiment 'Here's to an epic celebration' also comes with this stamp set. I used the 1 1/4 circle punch to cut the sentiment and then also a piece of 'Basic Black' and Bermuda Bay' cardstock to simply layer behind each other.  If you would like to order any Stampin Up products please do so in my online shop HERE   Rachael x

This little piggy - Stampin Up

Image
Would you dare send a card to someone that says 'OINK' on it? I love pigs, since i was about 9 yrs old i've thought that they would make the cutest pet. I haven't managed to convince my family of that yet though! This 'Little Piggy' stamp set from Stampin Up is super cute.  Taking a card blank in 'Whisper White' measuring 6x6 inches when folded i then added some dsp from the 'Whole lot of lovely' papers.  I tied ribbon in 'Powder Pink' around the dsp before gluing it to the card blank.  Using a smaller piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the cute flying pig in 'Powder pink' then using my aqua brush dragged the colour to fill in the pigs body. Clouds are stamped randomly in 'Soft Sky' ink. Once dry i took the 'large letter framelit' dies and lined up the letters OINK before running it through the 'Big Shot'. These letters are then removed but put back in the same place raised on
