Bubble Over - Stampin Up

Welcome to my first project of 2018. 

Today is a special day as it's my youngest sons 14th birthday. 
Having a dentist in our house means fizzy drinks are a treat....Christmas, Birthdays etc, so the 'Bubble Over' stamp set in our new Spring / Summer 2018 catalogue couldn't be more perfect to make my sons card. 

It comes in photopolymer so you can see exactly where you are stamping the images. To make it easier to cut the images Stampin' Up! also have the matching framelits dies 'Bottle and Bubbles'. You can buy these together as a bundle saving 10%

For an extra wow factor we also have matching designer series papers 'Bubbles and Fizz'. You can't purchase these papers however you can earn them for FREE if you spend £45 or more. The papers can be found in our sale-a-bration catalogue on page 13. What i really love is that the dies also cut out some of the images in the papers. 


The colours are funky and fresh, suitable for males and females of all ages. 
'Lemon Lime Twist' and 'Bermuda Bay' are my main colours used with a hint of 'Calypso Coral' for contrast. 

I can see this set getting used a lot as the months go on...wouldn't they be great for Summer party invites and BBQ's?

Card front builder thinlits - Stampin Up

When i first saw the 'Card Front Builder' thinlits die i must admit it didn't grab me straight away. I think i thought it looked like too much faff so i decided not to order it. Then i made that deadly mistake that most of us crafters do...i went on Pinterest!! Needless to say after spending half an hour (okay maybe 2 hours) browsing the cards made by some of my fellow demonstrators i was convinced i needed it too.  The design i have used was inspired by another Pinterest user 'Stamping Up North', I really liked the way they used the cut out trees to layer back onto the card so decided to make my own version. The background paper is from the 'Be Merry' designer series paper. Blog Hop with the Simply Stylish Stampers!

Thank you for hopping over to my blog.  This is my first time joining in with a 'Blog Hop' and i'm delighted to be doing it with the other ladies from the 'Simply Stylish Stampers'. After being given a card making kit as a gift a few years back i found i really enjoyed creating projects. Later on i discovered Stampin Up and my love for papercraft has grown into what you might say is an obsession! My card today uses the fabulous NEW stamp set 'Wise Men From Afar' which is coming soon in the Autumn / Winter brochure. 'Star Of Light' and the coordinating thinlits dies also feature.  Taking a sheet of 'Night of Navy' cardstock i trimmed it down to 11 1/2 x 5 3/4. Then scored in half along the long side.
