So it's Summer but with the weather we have had the past couple of weeks you really wouldn't think it!
I saw a card very similar to this whilst browsing Pinterest, unfortunately it had no name to the creator of the card but if they happen to stumble across my version a big 'thank you' for the inspiration.
The card is created using the 'Colourful Seasons' stamp set and a sheet of 'Dapper Denim' DSP from the 'Colour Theory' stack. The dsp stack has lots of different texture patterns and i really like the way this one reminds of distressed wood...perfect for a beach chair left out in the elements.
The sentiment and beach chair come from the 'Colourful Seasons' stamp set and the sun is from the 'Swirly Bird' stamp set.
For the sand under the chair i used a stamp from 'Sheltering Tree', it's really meant to be for the soil or grass under the tree from that set but as with lots of Stampin' Up! products you can mix and match things to create others things and really let your imagination run with ideas.
Let's hope the sunshine will make an appearance so we can all enjoy some beautiful beach days.

I am the first to admit i have an issue hoarding crafting products, especially papers! When they come packaged and look so pretty it's hard to chop them up to use. I always end up with retired papers left over each time a new catalogue is released and they end up sitting in my paper store unused. So with this in mind i decided to start using some of them up and made a start on some Christmas cards. Santa's workshop was such a fun set of papers, especially if making cards for younger members of the family. I used a larger piece of dsp for the background but then also cut another strip with elves on to use as the main focus of the card. Mounted onto real red card and then some glimmer paper to cut the word 'Christmas' from adds a little bit of festive bling and sparkle. At least if i use up my old stash i have the perfect excuse to buy more of the new products :) If you would like to buy any current products please pop over to my online shop HERE
